There are few who knew Anthony Bourdain as well as Tom Vitale, a producer and director on over 100 episodes of Bourdain's television shows, including No Reservations, The Layover and Parts Unknown. 

He is the author of In the Weeds: Around the World and Behind the Scenes with Anthony Bourdain, a memoir about his years on the road. In this episode, he reflects on his early experiences with Bourdain, the challenges of traveling to places like the Congo, and how Bourdain evolved over time.
